Mens Tennis Singles – Prediction for Gold and Bronze Medal
The Olympics finals will take place on August 5th, 2012, starting at 12:00 PM in London. For the gold medal, world number one Roger Federer will be facing world number 4 Andy Murray, and for the bronze, Novak Djokovic will be facing Juan Martin del Potro. The gold medal match will be a full set match(5), while the bronze match will only be 3 sets.
Roger Federer and Andy Murray have faced each other in the 2012 Wimbledon Finals, which Federer was able to win with a game count of 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, and 6-4. Roger Federer was playing fairly well in the match, while Andy’s first service never went in. Andy was shocked and hurt when Federer won, but was happy for him at the same time. For the Olympic finals, Andy Murray must be thinking of a new plan to defeat Roger, because his previous strategy failed. Last time, Murray aimed Federer’s backhand, but was easily countered with some slices and epic forehands. If Murray plays well at the finals, I predict that Andy Murray will win with a full set of 3-2.
As for the Bronze match, if Djokovic plays without any stupid mistakes, he will do just fine and defeat Del Potro for the Bronze medal title.
My predictions are sometimes way off, or they can be partly right. Think what you want to think, and share it with us in the comments below if you wish to do so.
Ps. I have this small feeling in my heart that Federer will loose on purpose, because Federer is that kind of a guy. Really nice and is a gentleman. Maybe he felt guilty for winning Wimbledon, so to make it up for Andy, he may loose on purpose. Just saying.
