Thomas Bellucci defeats Janko Tipsarevic in Gstaad Finals

Janko Tipsarevic who is ranked 8th in the world rankings and has recently won his first clay tournament, has been defeated by Thomas Bellucci, 6-7(6), 6-4, 6-2. A surprising win from the number 60th ranked Brazilian tennis player. Thomas is currently 24 years old and he has now won his 3rd singles title. This also was his second time winning the Gstaad finals,  he achieved the first title in 2009.

Thomas hit 10 winners overall, while Janko only hit 4. Thomas had a total of 11 break points, and he was able to take 5 out of the 11 break points. Janko only had 2 chances, thought he did not let one slip. Thomas took 53% of the total points as for Janko took 47%. 193 points were played in total. Thomas Bellucci will rank up to the 40~45 area of the rankings. Congratulations Thomas!
